7135 Closeouts?

Within the last week, someone posted a site where new 7135s without service plans could be bought for about $180. I can't find that post. Can someone help?

Verizon is Selling them for 215.00 with one year commitment in Los Angles County, not sure that helps you or not.

Holy cow! I looked for this offer on VZW's website and didn't find it. So I just checked Kyocera's website: http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/7135...buy-online.htm, entered my zip (LA area), and they offered me the phone for $100 after $50 rebate, with 1 year service agreement on VZW. At that price it's almost worth picking up a spare...

At that price, Verizon should buy them to hand out as warranty replacements when people get hit with SRCP.

I called them this morning, and was told that you can only get this price if you are NOT already a Verizon customer.

Sales rep: "If you want to buy this phone as a spare (or if you want to upgrade your phone with an exisiting verizon contract) you will have to pay $400 for it, or open a new verizon account on someone else's name."

You could buy one for $150, don't activate it, send in the rebate form, get your $50 back, then pay VZW the $175 early termination fee. New phone for $275 - not that great, but less than $400, and slightly less than the going rate of $300 for new phones on ebay. Worst part of that is the thought of giving VZW $175 for doing nothing...
