Yet another "Updating Firmware" Thead

Hi, I am new to posting on these forums. I have been lurking here though for quite some time.

I have been looking for both the PST software and Firmware. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be most obliged.

I bought a 7135 off of ebay 3 weeks ago. It is a Verizon phone and I have alltel service. I already went ahead and went into the programming and changed the PRL, phone number, and SID. My phone works perfectly as far as I can tell on alltel. I did all of that myself.

However, the online network settings are still set for verizon. And it has Verizon's firmware and software. What can I do to get alltel's? I took the phone into my local alltel but they wouldn't change it over. I would really just like to do this myself, so anybody got any tips, directions, or ideas? Thanks.

I think the firmware is the same. The only difference is the banner and turn on/turn off logo. What software version do you have?

(how did you change the PRL in programming?)

Software Version I have is SZ 1.0.23 MZ 1.0.36.

I also have a PRI viersion of 7135_VerizonB_MZ1036_P03.qcn That is the primary thing I want to change, which is why I said firmware/software (though that may not be the correct terminology).

And I didn't change PRL in programming, sorry, I did it with the *22801.

And I have changed the banner. But whenever my phone roams on a verizon tower, it automatically redownloads the verizon logo. So, it's something with the firmware/software/whatever that is making it do that, not any programming settings. All my programming settings are pointing to alltel, it's just something else in there that is looking for verizon.

No.

There is a setting for "Enhanced Roam Indicator"... that's why you keep getting your banner comming back after the ERI is updated... When you blank it out, it's still there, just blank...

Changing the Firmware will not help you, changing the setting in the PST will though. That's what you want to focus on. Ofcuorse you will also need the Serial Data Cable from Kyocera to use the PST...

Ok, thanks.

I have the serial cable. I just need the PST, I don't know where to get that from.

So, how do I know what to change the ERI to? And how do I change it, and if possible, change the PRI as well?

Thanks

Ok, I finally got PST 3.6.65

So, what do I change the ERI to? Or do I just delete everything that is there?

And if anyone does have firmware, or whatever, or an Alltel PRI, I would be much obliged if someone could PM me or something. Thanks

I recently got a phone that was 'supposed' to be an Alltel phone, but I see that it has PRI Version: 7135_VERIZONB_MZ1036_P03.qcn.

I have KWPST. I just need instructions on changing that so I have everything set to Alltel.

PM or email at nitebyte <at> gmail <dot> com with information please.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
