Start up the "Messages" application on your 7135. Tap menu -> Settings -> Incoming Messages... Set the Pager, Text Msg, and Net Alert gadgets to your preferred notification setting. Tap OK. Then tap menu -> Settings -> Voice Mail... Set the voice mail gadget to your preferred notification setting. Tap OK.

That did not seem to work. Do you think that it may be something that verizon needs to send or program to my phone?

It could be that your service plan has not been properly set up to send you the notifications. You should call Verizon and explain the problem. Hopefully they'll figure it out. Due to their inconsistent service, you may have to call more than once in order to talk to someone who knows what they're doing. Maybe you'll even have to be transferred to their data department.

I think I will call Verizon. I hope they can help. Me. I tried sending a text to my phone over the internet as a test, and It said it was accepted by network but said "none" in the field under delivery date. That tells me that it is a system fault and not a phone problem, as it would have said delivered.
