No Kyocera Users?

I can believe there are no Kyocera 6035 users here. I must admit that I don't use mine anymore! It's such a great smartphone for a 2g wireless plan. I still have mine in perfect condition! It has better integration to the Sprint network than my Samsung I330. I could manage my Sprint account from the phone itself. Samsung really missed this on the I330. The advantages of using the I330 over the 6035 is the speed of the internet access and the data plan that Sprint offers for 3G phones. Other than that the Kyocera 6035 is a better phone. It may only have 8 megabytes of ram, but that's ok because most of the software is built into the firmware of the phone (doesn't take up too much memory).

Good Luck to All you users

Still using my 6035...

Yep, still have a 6035 and still using it daily, although I get funny looks now from people who think I'm using some ancient cell phone from the early 90's. I'm on Sprint and feel like I need to stay with them, which is why I haven't upgraded to anything, although I'd give my eyeteeth to be able to use a 7135. Don't want to change my phone #, though, so I'm not ready to switch to Verizon. I had heard a rumor awhile back that at some point in the future (October, maybe?), we'll be able to carry our phone #'s over to other networks, after some law is passed and/or takes effect.

I'm curious to hear what other Sprint 6035 users have upgraded to, since the 7135 isn't an option....

Bloomkitty, you're a smart person! The Sprint Kycera 6035 is "still" the best engineered phone to date. When I bought my 6035 it was going out of production. It cost me $118 at Best Buy. That was the best $118 I've ever spent. You're getting you money's worth with the 6035 for sure. You can still buy them brand new for $100. I've since then upgraded to a Samsung I330 because I wanted Sprint's unlimited vision plan but I think the 6035 is a better smartphone. Sprint customers are paying $600 for the new Samsung I500. Samsung dropped the speaker phone function from this phone. No way!! Some I330 users in this BBS have dumped their I330s for this phone. Incredible! I'm keeping my I330. This phone thing can be an endless cycle of buying the latest and greatest with Sprint. Well, I not getting caught up in this. My motto, "Get More". I still have my 6035 because I might use it again.

In theory, on Novermber 24, 2003, the FCC will start requiring cell providers to make number portability available. This is the third time this requirement has been in effect, it's gotten pushed back the last two times. However, this time, it looks like some major providers (Verizon) have softened their stand against it, so it may actually get to take effect!

Great news! I'll definitely be giving Verizon a call around Thanksgiving to see if they'll honor that. Thanks for passing along the information!
