What is a good contact management system that you can work with on Windows XP and will sync to the 7135? I like working with calendars for appointments and sorting my address book. If I could use my current installed DateBook5 and the AddressPro version 6 on my desk top, I would be complete with my wish list.
Pretty much everything is better than Outlook. I used GroupWise for a few years, and IntelliSync made the two talk perfectly. GW also has direct Pop3 support, so you don't need a mail client either.
The other options are ACT and Agendus, but GW worked best for me until I switched to a P910a...
Agendus looks like a version that will work on Windows and Sync contacts and calendar apointments back and forth. I will look into GW. My company uses Goldmine as a PIM, but I hate the program and have tried to push them to ACT.
Does chaos work with Address Book? I would like to sort names by other methods on both the desktop and 7135 other tna first name, last name, or company.
I did try chaos and it does let me print and sort reports, but it does not allow me to view a month with the appointments in it and make changes. The Palm desk top gives a month view and you can click on a particular day in that calendar to view its information. I noticed with Chaos that you need to go to appointments to make changes instead of going to the calendar to make changes.
The only thing you can do would be on tool go to month view but cannot change appmnt. In tools and then timeline you can sort of see the months and change things but I do not know if this is what you want
thanks for the help and suggestions Playero. I really wish that DateBk5 and AddressPro was on my desk top and that would be easier to send back in forth (these programs work great on the 7135). Chaos does not offer really good customer support unless you send them email and wait 48 hours for a respond. It seems as though they don't want to talk to any one or give a phone number. Agendus has a lot of bells and whistles, but takes a lot of memory to install on the 7135(about 2M). Thats just to install the program, not including the data to enter. Just so you know, I have assigned my buttons from left to right as follows even though a good PIM would take its place with mimimum efforts, DateBk5 (month view first), TAKEphONE (I have 2000+ contacts to call from with quick dialing look-up and dialing efforts without tapping a name),Messages, and the last button to the right is SnapperMail v2.2.2.01(this opens my Earthlink POP account and retreves my email and leaves it on the internet) works great all over the Southeast US.
