I have an older phone. It has over 6000 calls and 17000 minutes on it. The firmware is MZ1.0.36 on the phone and SZ 1.0.23 on the PDA. The phone works fine as does the PDA. I am using a 1gb Card for most of my mp3's and apps as well as backup.
Is there really a need to update? Other than Graffitti2 is there any real benefit? I use a 3rd party mp3 player as well.
Also, if I do choose to have the firmware updated, is going to a Verizon wireless store the simplest way? I would rather have them mess up my phone than me.
I am a very experienced palm user, but relatively new to the 7135 (this one was purchased used).
The rule of thumb is that if your not having any problems with your 7135, then don't upgrade. It's better not to take the chance of making it unstable by changing things on it.
If you do decide to upgrade, taking it to the Verizon store is the easiest way.

There is a post from JigSawMan in this thread: http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...threadid=24748
with the release notes for the firmware upgrade to 44/29

PS: Hey SilvrDrgn haven't we had the discussion before!

There was an earlier post about it, but there were over 100 responses to it and it started with upgrades that were even older, so I figured it would just be easier to ask.
Since it seems that this is the last remaining Graffiti 1 phone, perhaps some of the more knowledgable people on this board can figure out a way to get the grafitti 1 files, and post them... it would be really nice to have graffiti 1 back again!
