Install Apps to SD Card

I know this was discussed a few days ago, but I just can't find it.

I need the name of the app that allows you to install to a card and still run the app properly from the Kyo. Many apps that are mounted on the card will not run and I remember that this mystery app leaves a pointer on the handheld.

Thanks.

There are a whole slew of them.
Powerun works very well and you can stay with the native Palm Launcher. You have to install apps to the handheld, then Powerun can move them to the card and leaves a shortcut icon on the handheld.
I use Zlauncher, but honestly, I do it mostly for the advanced graphics. It detects apps on the card directly and doesn't need shortcut icons.
You can still make shortcut icons if you want. For instance, I've installed Blazer to the SD card. I've also made a shortcut icon, so that I can redirect the hard web button to launch blazer.
I think Megalauncher, Launcher X and Silver also launch apps from the card.

SOMEBODY GET ME A SPELL CHECKER PLEASE.
I'm using Firefox, the one for IE doens't work.

I use zLauncher, too. Works great on my dub-ya (OS 4.1).

PiDirect woks abit differently. It allows you to do some things that others don't. You can put an application or even a database into Piderect that requires you to write to the app. It does this by actually putting the app (or parts of it) into RAM when it is running and then copying it back to the card when closing. This allows you to use apps with changing data from the card and even apps that require hotsyncing, etc, without creating shortcuts. I used it extensively in the past, but with new launchers and improved capabilities and shortcuts I have found it mostly unnecessary.

My advice would be to use a good launcher that can see your card, such as zlauncher, launcherx, megalauncher, etc. They take some tweaking to get it to work the way you like, but once you use a good launcher, you will never go back to the standard palm launcher.
