Hi,

I know someone with a Kyocera 7135 phone. He downloaded the driver/software from Palm.com & the laptop he uses recognizes the phone, hotsync works.

For some reason there doesnt seem to be a way to make the device sync with outlook. Right now it syncs with PalmDesktop.

How do we make the switch? There is no options for changing in the hotsync manager. Does he need something else installed to sync with Outlook 2000?

There is an application on the Kyo install CD from Chapura; it's called something like "Outlook Conduit". Install that app and your 7135 will sync with Outlook rather than Palm. If you want to sync both Outlook and Palm, you'll have to get something like SwitchSync.

Chappura definitely allows you to sync with Outlook 2000, but does anyone know if there's an update to allow syncing with Outlook 2002?

I've been syncing with Outlook 2002 quite happily since I got my phone. No issues at all. If the version on the CD is not compatible with Outlook 2002 (though given the release date of the phone it should be) check Chapura's web site for an upgrade.

Ahh, ok, he doesnt have the install cd anymore. So he needs to download Chapura then right?

Where can he get this app from? I dont see it on the Chapura website.

The free version is only available on the install CD.
