Deleting downloaded ringers

Ive installed a few dozen ringers on my phone and every time I try to delete them with the file manager they come back when I sync. How do I get them off for good?

Get them out of your Install directory that's usually under a shortened version of your HotSync ID. That's under the "Palm" directory - usually C:\Palm or C:\Program Files\Palm. If there's nothing in the Install directory, then you must have one of your hotsync manager conduit settings configured incorrectly to restore files on every sync. Fix the setting. Also, search for the ringer files in the "Backup" directory. Get rid of them in there, too.

Check all of your HotSync Manager conduit settings, particularly the "System Conduit" if you have one. That one should be set to Handheld overwrites Desktop.
