My guess is that it is the 'old/slow' card, not the new Ultra II high speed card.

Note that is not a high speed card. It will probably work fine in the 7135. Jonathan Bell, author of Bebopper, uses a 1 Gig card in his (I'm not sure what brand or speed) and he says it works fine.

I've been using a 60x ATP 1GB SD card and it's flawless. ~$110 online. I highly recommend going with one of the higher-speed cards as it dramatically quickens file & directory management chores, and I don't get any MP3 choking as I did occassionally with my 256MB Sandisk (non-Ultra) SD card.

ATP in particular has given itself a "face" by visiting online photography forums to discuss their cards (visit dpreview.com and search for ATP). I own two of their 1GB cards -- one my for my 7135 & one for my digicam -- and have had no issues with them, and find them to be slightly faster than my 512MB Ultra II in PC file transfers in my USB 2.0 card reader.

Holy Bargains, Batman! Yeah I am hooked on Lexar, and not just because a friend of mine has Kodak stock. Plus somewhere on this forum used to be a big review and commentary on SD Cards and the 7135, Lexar was the most reliable (SanDisk was the least capable). Looks like I am getting one of those for the money. Wow. Movies, here I come! I have a Lexar high speed 256 MB, but does this differ from the Ultra? Or is there a place to read/compare?

By "Ultra" are you referring to Ultra-II cards? If so, those are SanDisk cards. I have a 512MB SanDisk Ultra-II card, and it works very well.
