Up Arrow causes lockup

I've developed a new problem in the last couple of weeks - probably due to the regular abuse a cell phone received so I am not in any way impugning my beloved 7135. I bet any regular PDA would have long since died if it had received all the abuse my 7135 has over the last 1.5 years.

In at least two programs (Plucker and Datebk5), I sometimes get a lockup requiring a reset when I hit the up arrow. It seems random, usually it happens the first time I hit the up arrow, sometimes I can use the up arrow a half dozen times teasing me into thinking the problem is gone.

Sometimes the reset button causes a hard reset, sometimes a soft reset. I've had to do a restore from memory card about ten times now in the last couple of weeks.

Any suggestions?
I've remapped a hard key in Plucker to do a page up - now if only I could always remember to use it.
I've reinstalled Plucker's viewer from the web in case the PRC became corrupted.
No new programs or hacks involved, also I'm not overclocking.

I've got the insurance but am reluctant to pay the $50 deductible to get a refurbed model (on the other hand, swapping out for the Trea Ace when it comes out wouldn't be all that bad but that is an entirely different topic.)

Hi: I've been lurking here since I got my beloved 7135 about 1.5 years ago. Up till now it's been fine, but now I'm having the up arrow lockup problem as described above. I do not have either of the apps the original poster described, although I do have Bebopper, OmniRemote Pro., and (thank God) BackupMan. The problem was intermittant at first but now becoming unbearable. Hard and soft resets. I have noticed the graffiti symbol dot has been on sometimes following a reset - wonder if the digitizer is involved somehow? Getting bad enough I'm about to call Verizon for a replacement

I was never able to fix the problem and ended up getting a replacement through the phone insurance service.

Well, I got my replacement 7135 from Verizon 24 hours after calling data services to report the problem. Tried to activate it online with no luck so I had to call customer service. The 1st rep couldn't activate it either so he transferred me to data services. The rep there found an incorrect ESN and noted that data service had already been added to my plan (without my knowledge). He removed it at my request that "no changes" be made to my plan. So, I just popped in my SD card, restored my stuff and went to work. Graffitti 2 is a bit of a challenge but I can deal. On the downside, I can no longer access Express Network. The good news is Quick 2 Net still works. Anybody know a way to get Express Network back without coughing up more fees to VZN?

Same thing happened to me when I got my replacement 7135.... Express Network no longer works. I don't think there's any way to get it back without adding a data plan for it to your account.
