Poor Performance While Roaming (?)

I was out of town for the last two days and it seemed that overall performance on the phone was much slower than normal. I've now loaded afterburner and am pleased with that, but I am wondering if there is some setting in regard to Roaming that is an issue. Seems like I've read here before that the phone searches for connections differently or something like that, but I can't find the reference now.

I've changed the TIME setting so that it doesn't update the clock, and that seemed to help too, but yesterday's performance out of town while going back and forth from Snappermail to the phone application, even dialing recent numbers, seemed much slower than normal.

Any suggestions?

thanks

My problems arose BEFORE I loaded Afterburner, so these settings aren't really relevant to my question, but the settings that seem to be working for me without crashing are:

Default 40
Find 45
Fast Mpx off
Fast Page on
Slow Mpx on
Fast Hotsync off
Adjust ticks on

Accel Always
Slow Never

And the programs I've accelerated are set to 45.

It's possible, yes, but not on all 7135's. If you get AfterBurner, make sure you get at least version 3.20. It has a "Profile" function that will test your 7135 for its minimum and maximum capable CPU speeds. My 7135 maxes out at 45 MHz according to that function, but I run programs that I want to speed up at 44 MHz just to be safe. Some 7135's will achieve faster CPU speeds than that, and some will achieve slower. YMMV.
