I lost my copy of the program a little while before I upgraded to the 7135, but it does say it supports the phone (If I remember correctly), my buddy has linked his with the 7135 so I would think it would just not sure what version. Make sure you setup the phone in Data Loggin Mode - I think he had an issue with it not connecting because he didnt set it first.

Just in case you didnt know:
Options ----> Service Interface ----> Data Loggin Mode

If the software doesnt detect the phone, I would think either 1) the port settings are not right or 2) it doesnt support the phone. Or possibly the phone needs reset first.

Note that I am not an expert on this, just noticed no one had replied yet.

Unhappy

I'm no expert either, but I recall that version 3.4 or higher is required to flash the 7135.

Ages ago this was discussed in detail and a web search could find 3.4 but I think Kyo killed all sites that carried the illegal files as KWPST is supposed to exist only with authorized phone dealers / repair shops.

Good luck.

The software tool used to upgrade the 7135's firmware. Only Kyocera Official Service Centers / Cellular providors are authorized to use it.

It also does other things......

OS5 requires different hardware so that's as far as the 7135 will go...

Palm OS version 4 is the only Palm OS that will work with the 7135. Palm OS 5 requires an ARM processor, the 7135 has a Dragonball processor. So, Palm OS 5 will never happen on the 7135.

The firmware upgrade that the KWPST performs is software that will upgrade the 7135's internal software. It is simular to a Service pack for Windows. The new software attempts to fix issues that people have with their 7135.

The most current version of the 7135 software is:
(Palm Side - Phone->Phone info->Software)

Phone Software MZ 1.0.44
PDA Software SZ 1.0.29

Refered to as 29/44.
