Graffiti2 Conversion

Does anyone know how to convert Graffiti2 back to the original Graffiti? When I exchanges my 7135 for a new one, it came w/ G2 and I'm conditioned to using G1. Or is there a way to program certain letters (k, t, i) w/in G@? Thanks!

I don't believe I've seen any success stories with this. An option would be to get one of the apps, like Jot, that behaves more like G1 and lets you make some changes.

You can't revert it back to Graffiti 1. Many have tried, all have failed. You have to buy a third-party writing recognition utility like Jot or TealScript. I use TealScript with the "Legacy Script" download (I've added some of my own modifications to it) from the TealPoint web site. It works very well!

I'm partial to jot, but either one will give some choice at to choose the strokes that work best for you.

Angry Same Here

I just got my replacement 7135 from Verizon - the old one seems to have had a hardware problem.

I had an original Palm Pilot and I've been using G1 for 10+ years - I HATE having to switch to G2! Having to retrain yourself after a decade sucks!

I'f anyone finds a magic solution please post!

I am using TealScript - http://www.tealpoint.com/softscrp.htm - it converts back to G1 - it works great.

Just got a replacement phone myself, G2 lasted about 30 minutes.

Loaded tealscript and it works great.

but...
Every now and then I write a "D" and the word "and " appears.

Get the "Legacy Profile" download from TealPoint's TealScript page. That is as close to G1 as you're going to get.

Remove those "short cuts" while in the Teal Script program.

Edit Strokes. Goto the end of that LONG list & remove the short cuts for "and". There are others. I went threw the WHOLE list & removed ANYTHING that I knew I would never use.

Smile

You guys are a lifesavers! I was about to have a nervous breakdown when I got ' instead of t and r instead of y.

TealScript costs $30. Is there anything free? All I want is my graffiti back!

Google search revealed this:

Well, I still haven't paid and it still works after a couple of months. It stays in free trial mode for a long time, if not forever.

I probably will buy it when I get around to it.

I pay for snapper mail, mummy maze and teal script. Essentials, you know.
