Millikeys (and other DIY) stamps..best way to attach?
Greetings all:
I have been using Millikeys with good results so far however I am at a point where I want to attach the stamp to the grafitti area so it is flush with the grafitti pad.
I have the layout printed on plain paper with clear packing tape affixed to both sides. The stamp is cut so it fits under the edges of the phone faceplate surrounding the grafitti area...no glue. It is "OK" however the stamp bulges out, raised from the surface of the pad so when you tap a letter you "squish" down on the stamp before it makes contact with the grafitti pad. If I cut the stamp too small it does not hold position on the pad very well.
Something like rubber cement would be perfect to attach the stamp. However I do not know if it reacts with the plastic on the grafitti pad.
Also, does anyone have the graffiti calibration dots (on the original grafitti pad) mapped out to locations on the millikeys layout? (similar to a thread here on redigitizing the pad with a fitaly stamp). I suppose I could print a millikeys stamp on a clear stock and look but has anyone done it before?
Another question...There seems to be an intermittent "bug" where the top two rows of keys are interpreted as the same character in the number two row (number one being the top line). I am using the 5 x 15 found here. Seems there was a previous thread on this but I can't find it. In other words tapping "%" and "r" both result in a "r", "&" and "y: both result in a "y". Shift makes no difference. I have re-selected the "default" layout and re-import the 5 x 15...and selecting it...seems to fix the bug however the mapping in the layout appears correct even when the bug is present.
Thanks for any suggestions
