Question AIM Domains?

Are there different domains to AIM? I can log on (using free UK version) from 7135 on Q2N, but I can never see my other screen name online and/or message it. I can neither send a message or receive a message between those 2 names. However, I can send and receive messages from an always online IM bot, (i.e. SmarterChild) So my question is, are there different domains to AIM that palm users are thrown in one, and can't communicate outside that? I don't think there are different domains, but then why would I be able to see one screen name and not another?

I've found that if you create a screen name with AIM on your PC, and then log on using your Palm, it will only take the first 30 names on your AIM buddy list and put it on your phone. It's possible that your names just didn't make the top-30.

I think you can edit your phone's IM list (more easily than on the phone) by signing on with your PC and editing the "Mobile Device" buddy group.

Perhaps I have a different problem, because my buddy lists don't transfer either. When I add people and groups when signed on on the phone, they appear the next time I sign in on the PC. However, my buddies & groups are never saved on the phone. It doesn't import any buddies from my stored buddy list, nor does it keep any of the buddies that I have added from the phone. When I sign off from the phone, then immediately sign back on, my whole buddy list is gone. I'm thinking this is a phone problem, not AIM.

Hmmm.... Very strange indeed. This might sound dumb, but have you tried to uninstall/delete and then reinstall the AIM client? I've used mine quite a bit (it's the UK version) without a problem, but I've had mine for a while. Perhaps they made a change or posted a new version that's causing havoc with the 7135's...
