Which battery?

TXBAT10037 or TXBAT10002

Both are Kyocera OEM and the specs are the same (1200 mAh). The ...37 is the one currently listed on Kyo's website.

Is there a difference? I should get my Kyo 7135 Monday so I can check which battery comes with it then. I'm seeing the ...02 battery on ebay for <$20 and the ...37 for ~$40.

Anyone know anything about this...before I get my spare battery?

Both prices too high! Either one is probably OK.

Really? Even for OEM? They were on Kyo's site for $70. Who's your supplier? Do they explode?

Thanks,

I'm in the market for an additional battery myself. But I'm a little paranoid/concerned about the difference in prices ($10-20, $70) and how that effects the quality and reliability of the battery.

I'd be willing to spend $70 for the battery if it means it will be reliable. But if there's no difference, then I may as well save some money.

I have bought and sold lots of OEM batteries on ebay. They are the same as the $70 ones. Don't lose any sleep over it and save the money!

I've bought a TXBAT10002 also. Although the seller said it was brand new, it looked used. It's working fine though.

A lot of the batteries sold on ebay are bulk stock (no retail packaging). It is not uncommon for a new battery to have scuff marks on it

I just bought a 7135, and it came with a TXBAT10034 OEM battery. Is there an extended battery for the 7135, and what model #(s)?

errr... aren't bulk-stock batteries at least wrapped in plastic of some sort? I can't envision them simply dumping bare batteries into a box. "Scuff" marks on the contacts would be a large tell.

No they really are unwrapped. I have bought, sold, and used literally hundreds of these and have never had a problem with one.
