Not sure if anyone else has tried Teal Lock. It seems to be a security app that allows the phone to operate while locked if configured correctly. ie. Caller ID names show up etc. The only thing that would make it perfect for me is if it would let me use my speed dial buttons by holding the buttons down while locked. Has anyone else who uses this found a way to make speed dials work while the phone is locked?
Also another issue I have noticed is that it does not recognize the instructed time to lock at if it is on the charging cradle during and past that time.
Try some searching on this one. There have been quite a few lengthy threads on security apps and smartphones, especially the 7135. Most let you leave one app "open" when the unit is protected, I found I probably wanted two or three apps open.
Although some people were happy with them, I never could make it protect what I wanted and let me do phone things like I wanted, so I gave up on them.
Under the Locking/Unlocking Options menu, I have the box checked next to, "Allow app to run when locked" and I picked the app, "Dialer."
I remember reading this in the tealpoint.com faq's somewhere. I don't know if this setting change will help you do what you are requesting, but this setting allows me to use the phone side whenever my phone is locked. It suits my needs.
I am able to recieve and make calls when my 7135 is locked, and the callerID does work, but I am not able to get into my speed dial. I can get into recient calls though.

My issue exactly. The phone is basically full functioning to receive calls. It would be nice if the quick dial buttons worked as well. This way you could make your most common calls without entering the password. I suppose voice dial might work? Have to try.
If you have trouble with caller id it is probably because you have selected to encrypt your address book. I have decided to run with no encryption unless I am extra paranoid in certain situations eg. boarding planes and having to leave it unattended through the xray machines. But if encryption is on- your alarms won't work either.
The programs just didn't seem to work the way I wanted them to work. I wasn't using encryption at all, but it doesn't matter now since I don't have the 7135 any longer
