I simply like my Palm Tungsten T3 too much, and it is driving me nuts (anal retentive type A) having two palm PDA's since I feel the need to keep them all with the same data, emails, etc and the 7135 doesn't have enough ram to hold my snapper mail database and doc's to go stuff, let alone all the toher stuff. It costs too much to buy second copies of important software to run on seperate hardware with seperate hotsync ID.
I sold my 7135, again, and will just wait for the Motorola V710 bluetooth phone to come out, so I can use it with my T3 and Powerbook to go online. Until then, I have a Nokia 6820 BT phone on AT&T.
I started with an Altel version on 1/6/03, and have changed my mind and sold out 3 times since then. Doh!

No matter how much we love our smartphones, they are always compromises when it comes to the individual pieces. I also toyed with this idea with the T3 came out as I am more pda than phone.

I have a similar but slightly different approach. I continue to use my 7135 and also have a Sony Clie UX 50. However I have the same hotsync ID on both units. The way I have managed to accomplish this is to use separate computers for the two units. I always hotsync my 7135 on the computer at my office and I hotsync my Clie at home. This has been working fine for my needs and allows me to use a single purchase for all 3rd-party apps.
Isn't it cheaper to buy a second copy of the software than to buy a second PC to sync with?
And, how do you sync the two PC's together, so they have the same docs and contacts and appts?
And, what do you do if you try to duplicate the hot sync folders but one Palm holds on 16mb and is always maxed out, and the other has 64mb with 20mb free?
It was getting to be too much trouble.

Of course a 2nd copy of Palm software is cheaper than a 2nd computer, however the 2nd computer was there anyway, I didn't buy it just for this purpose.
I don't worry about syncing the two computers. I keep my appointment schedule and contacts up-to-date on my office computer and on my 7135. I don't worry about it on my Clie or my home computer. This approach works well for me. It's obviously not the best approach for everybody.

I second what dwdod has said.
I too own a 7135 and a T|T3. I love the extra features that the T3 gives, and can't do without my 7135. I also sync each device on seperate computers.
I was thinking about trying so setup each computer to share the same outlook pst file, but havn't got around to it.
Another option ....
I have enough stuff laying around so that I could setup an Exchange server to share my outlook info, but that might be going overboard a bit much.
Originally posted by larryganz I also found out that my spare gun ankle holster holds the T3 to my leg very well, so not having my palm on the belt in my phone isn't a problem.
Yea, but then where to you carry your concealed weapon???
