I have no problem to sync via palm but not via hotsync, how would one force to sync avantgo during hotsync operation.

Do you have the Avantgo conduit installed and active? Are you behind a firewall or hotsyncing through a proxy server?

Assuming you are running Win-DOHS, click on the HotSync Manager icon in your system tray and select "Custom..." Click on the "AvantGo Connect" line followed by the "Change" button. Activate the "Synchronize the files" radio button and the "Set as default" checkbox. Click OK. Click Done. Try your sync.

Then that means you have not installed the AvantGo desktop software. You need that because it sets up a conduit that AvantGo needs for desktop syncing of information. Go to http://www.avantgo.com, click on the "Get it now!" button and download the desktop software. Search the page for the word "Download". It's in the middle and kind of hard to see. Install it on your computer, set it up and you should be good to go.
