Question new user- outlook & chapura

sorry to bother you with a basic question but here goes my saga

I have been using my Kyocera for a while now and have my whole business contacts, date planner etc on it. The problem is I have purchased a new computer and need to upload the date onto outlook on the new computer.

Question: Should I install the palm software included with the phone first, then download Chapura settings and THEN hotsync? What is the right sequence as to not screw the whole thing up?

Thanks for any responses

I would install the Chapura PocketMirror conduit on your new machine, set the Hotsync option to Handheld Overwrites Desktop and sync.

Just install palm desktop, then Pocket mirror. You may be using outlook 2003, so go to www.chapura.com and download the pocketmirror standard update. Once that is installed, sync and it should move all your information for you.

actaully, you might want to download the 7135 palm desktop from the disk, then perform a hotsync. after the hotsync completes, THEN download the outlook conduit from the disk. then you should be okay to do a hotsync with outlook. (just make sure you're conduits in the custom menu show outlook conduits, and if you have outlook 2003, download the 3.1.6 update of pocketmirror.)
