restore....without computer

I had my first hard reset today. It has been a while since I have used my backup software, so, I forgot how to use it. So, now I have no info and need to restore from my SD card. Well, I can not do this because I need my PC to restore...but wait...isnt that what the SD card is for? Well duh!!

Is there a program that can be put on the SD card that will work after a hard reset? Whats the use of having a backup if you cant backup!? I might as well just leave it on my computers and get a smaller phone!! Am I missing something here or is there a program out there for what I am looking for/to achive.

Thanks

I don't know what software you used to backup to the SD card but Backup Buddy copies itself to the SD card so that you can run it after a hard reset.

If you have backup software and it is on your card, you shouldn't need your PC. Normally, the backup software is either run entirely from the card or a copy of it is installed on the card. You should be able to run any programs on the card after a hard reset, just choose your card as the category in the top right.

Run you back up and restore. The details depend on which backup software you are using.

Well, I figured it out, sort of.

Backupbuddy just disapeared and card backup is locked and will not copy back to the phone. If I remember correctly, they were all still in trial mode, so, I think time ran out on them, oh well.
