Desktop Uninstall problems

I recently replaced my tungsten with the Kyocera and stupidly loaded the kyocera desktop on the same machine with the straight palm desktop, leaving the kyocera version inop. I tried to uninstall the palm version and it left several pieces including the folder, hotsync, and the addon tool.

How can I make sure I got all of the palm version off, including registry and any other areas?

Once it is clean I will reinstall the 7135 disk.

Did the uninstall complete successfully, or give you an error?? I would blow away the entire Palm directory off your hard drive. Then start up "regedit", search for Palm in there and delete all the relevant keys manually.

It only showed an uninstaller for the Kyocera version and naturally it left all the palm stuff.

uninstall the one you installed 2nd
reinstall the one you installed first
then uninstall it
the only regkey you need to worry about is HKCU\Software\U.S. Robotics
so nuke that, then reinstall kyocera palm desktop
