Does a 7135 with a Palm Bluetooth SD Card the new BMW bluetooth phone setup? Are all the BMW features available?

This is the main question that keeps me coming back to this board. If you purchase the bluetooth card, it will not work with the phone part of the 7135. As I understand it, there is no bluetooth phone profile built into the phone and no one has a patch. Here is a thread that discusses it: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/showt...threadid=18670

You may consider the Jabra dohicky. I returned it. For some reason, it kept redialing for no reason. I certainly wasn't happy enough with it to spend $700 for the BMW BT kit.

Now, some other things to keep in mind. BMW has an approved list of BT compatable phones, even if we can get the 7135 to work, it is more then likely the phone book will not be accessable from the buttons on the steering wheel. Do a search on www.roadfly.com for approved phones. BTW, none of the phones are sold by verizon.

Also keep in mind that there are conflict issues with some BMWs between the link assist module and the BT module. You may have to unplug link assist.

I am waiting for Verizon to come out the the new Motorolla phone. It is rumored to be the first BT compatable VZ phone. I will probably get the phone and buy a Tungstan.

I read about a guy, who purchased a Sony Erricson 714 phone from Cingular. Then he purchased an unlock code from some company in Florida, Then he activated the phone on Verizion and he had 100% BMW compatibitly on the VZ network. The guy obviosly was obsessed.

Right now, I purchased a Proclip and I use a Belkin corded handsfree. The Proclip is expensive, but worth every penny.

I hope this helped.

Which Belkin corded kit did you buy? How do you like it?
