Stop phone from Recieving during HotSync

OK. I have had this happen only once or twice, but it is annoying. I start a HotSync and at that EXACT time I get a phone call. The HotSync is disrupted while I answer the call. afterwards the Kyo tries to go right back to the HotSync but by this time its too late!

This has to be a bug. Does anyone know of a hack or something that can disable (not power down) the phone during a HotSync?

Don't mean to be a smart-aleck, but no longer than a hot sync takes, why not just turn the phone off for those few minutes?

That might be a nice hack for someone to write. Sure it's probably prudent to turn the phone off during a hotsync, but wouldn't be convient to have a app that does that for you automatically in case you forget.

Strange thing is when I run a Backup (BackupBuddyVFS) my processor maxes out so all else stops (including updating the time on the top display). Why can't HotSync do the same thing?

I still think its a bug...

When I called Kycera tech support once on something else, and mentioned this, the guy told me the only thing to do was turn off the phone when you hotsync. I believe he said that it even mentions this in the manual (like I've ever read an owner's manual!).

what happens if you just don't answer the call? Is the hot sync still interrupted?

how about answering via speakerphone or headset (This does work)... Hotsync will continue and finish properly. You can then lift the handset once hotsync is complete.

Yep, skicheer12 has it right. I just did this a couple of days ago. Sync was in process and a call came in. I left the phone in the cradle and carefully hit the speaker button and then the answer call green phone button. Had a brief conversation and by the time I was done the sync was complete. A check of the log showed that the sync was all OK, and my use experience confirmed it.

I too have had no issues when getting a call while performing a hot-sync.

Note:
I answer via the speaker phone option....hit the Phone silk screen button..then the speaker phone button.

Thanks all. I think I'll try the speakerphone option.
