Exclamation Pin Outs for Kyocera 7135 / Have I found the Ring Indicator?

Okay, in this post in the "USB-powered retractable charger/sync cable" thread, I posted this...

Code:
                                (  ) Antenna Hole
                  Charger + :  2 || 1  : UNKNOWN
                    UNKNOWN :  4 || 3  : UNKNOWN
                    UNKNOWN :  6 || 5  : Serial: DSR
    Speakerphone only: Blue :  8 || 7  : Serial: RD
  Speakerphone only: Purple : 10 || 9  : Serial: TD
  Serial:RTS / USB Data (+) : 12 || 11 : Speakerphone Only: Yellow
 Serial: DTR / USB Data (-) : 14 || 13 : USB: +5 Volts
Serial/USB Ground/Charger - : 16 || 15 : Serial: CTS
And thought that was it, but, recently a colleague of mine sent me the attached image which also shows (pin number re-mapped to match above)....

Code:
                                (  ) Antenna Hole
                     VEXT_DC:  2 || 1  : UNKNOWN
                    UNKNOWN :  4 || 3  : DCD
                    UNKNOWN :  6 || 5  : CTS
                    UNKNOWN :  8 || 7  : RXD
                        GND : 10 || 9  : TXD
                        RFR : 12 || 11 : UNKNOWN
                        DTR : 14 || 13 : PHONE_PWR
                        GND : 16 || 15 : RI (Ring Indicator!?!?!)
So, does this mean that we just need to sense what's on pin #15 to get a audio mute from our car-kits? I'm on travel for work right now, but will be hacking on this idea, this weekend, but wanted to share the thoughts now.

So, ideas?

Scott
PS> He said even though the page is for "QCP 2035, QCP 2135, QCP 3035, QCP 6035, Kyocera 2135, Kyocera 2175, and Kyocera 5472 phones" it should also be the same for the Kyocera 7135 as well.

Okay, I hate to say it, but....

"ekaxel" is right. The 7135 is not quite the same.

I did all my tests on the Car-Kit and found out that.[list=1][*]The 7135 Car-Kit does not have a wire connected to pin 15. [*]If you did connect to Pin 15, you would not see a change in Ohmage.[*]Nor would you see a discernable voltage change (2.7 volts to 2.6 volts)[/list=1]

But, I did manage to map the pin outs...
Code:
Cable color - 7135 Pin Out
Red         -  2 (Charger +)
Red         -  2 (Charger +)
Brown - 4 (Unknown: Mic or Speaker?)
Green - 6 (Unknown: Mic or Speaker?)
Orange      - 13 (USB +5 Volts)
Yellow - 11 (Unknown: Mic or Speaker?)
Purple      - 10 (Ground?)
Blue - 8 (Unknown: Mic or Speaker?)
Black       - 16 (Charger -)
Black       - 16 (Charger -)
And also get some pictures...

of the cable connector to the 7135 (matches colors above)

of the PCB board of the car-kit.

of the 7135 connector disassembled.

of the evil spring assembly that if your not careful flys apart.

and finally of the 12v Lighter adaptor.

So, there is no RING indicator available to us, thus there is no hack option.
