Phone Resetswith new battery saver app and speaker phone hack
Has anyone had the problem of constant phone resets after installing X-master and the speakerphone hack, dtmf hack and the power saver written by David Walthall. The programs are great but after installing them I've been reseting constantly (had not reset my phone since January so I'm pretty sure they are the culprit since nothing else has changed). I am running the latest verizon software 44/29. I have deleted the apps but I am still getting the problem. I will do a hard reset tomorrow to hopefully clear this up.
I have also been running X-Master, the Speakerphone monitor hack, Energy Saver, (and EnergyDimmer hack) since they came out without problem. Never installed the DTMF thing.
X-Master v1.5
Energy Saver v1.4
SpeakerPhone Monitor v1.1
Energy Dimmer v2.4

Same installs as above & no issues. Looks like to MIGHT? be the DTMF hack?
Thanks all - I actually hard reset the phone and removed the battery for a day and still the same problem. I can repeat the error with the Tetris app. If I run Tetris and hit the address book button to move a piece to the right it hangs. Just a quick note I had installed the DTMF hack but never ran it. The phone also seems to hang any when I'm using the other palm buttons but not as consistent. I'm going to verizon with this problem since this is the 6th replacement I'm going to insist they substitute with a samsung i700 or better. This is a very large national account and I actually use this phone for business. The non PDA phones do not cut it since I require VPN and telnet features as well as email and web. I'm giving up on this phone, 2-3 months between replacements is not what I signed up for.
Seems to me you should stop with all the "hacks" and other software. No telling what else is loaded on the machine. It is already known the OS for the 7135 is not that stable to be loading all that stuff even if not used.
I guess I'm really trying to say is that after 6 phones, maybe it is not the phone.
I had to reply mine once but I'm starting to think now, maybe it was not phone... there are certain things I can do to make "problems."

theog - strickly a keyboard problem.. I had this happen to me a couple of times before I loaded those apps but took it for granted since it was less resets per week than I used to experience. The problem just got progressively worse. The phone works perfectly fine as long as I don't use any of the application launch buttons on the left (Calendar, Addressbook). I can actually crash it just by presing down softly on the metal frame around those buttons.

No problem. Let me know how you make out because I haven't had much luck with it. It does turn off my speakerphone when I hang up, but it turns it on also when I answer the phone frequently and I'm fairly sure it's not supposed to do that. Maybe I have conflicting hacks.

That's bizzarre. I've never had my speakerphone turn on without my pressing the button.

Yes, very strange, but true. I disabled the hack for now and will have to experiment with it at a later time. I have another Championship game to watch - go Huskies!!

All - I received the NEW phone today not a refurb, full box set (The Kyocera Rep was very helpful). I am debating selling the phone. The only other pda phone I can see myself buying at the moment is the samsung i700. I have activated this new phone and will use it untill I decide what to do but the fact that I have had 4 replacements in 1 year makes it easier to sell. I have also removed all hacks and some old palm programs before reinstalling my stuff. I only have 5 non kyocera installed programs (Freecoins,Workouts,HandyShopper,GNUKeyRing,Kinoma). I can probably go without Freecoins but the other programs are just way to usefull).Any ideas? Are there any new pda phones comming soon that maybe I should hold off for?

Treo 600 will be on Verizon soon... someone said May 6... PR told me within 3 months.... I don't know of any other pda phones on the horizon with Verizon... hey that rhymed.
I took my second phone back as well... got my Qualcomm 2035 back.... I don't have time to demo every new phone until I get a good one.
