What version of the 7135 Palm Desktop are you using? My version (4.1) will import a comma or tab delimited .csv or .txt file both of which you can save to from Excel. It's best to use Tab delimited text format IMHO to avoid problems in case commas are present in any of your fields.
If you want to import directly into Outlook and then sync to your Palm/SmartPhone, attached is a tab delimited .txt file with the field names and order used by Outlook.
You can save your Excel file as a Tab Delimited .txt file and then import into Palm Desktop or Outlook.
To import directly into Outlook, save your .TXT file to your hard drive (remember where you save it); then follow the directions below:
Import a contact list from a Tab Delimited file into OutLook
1. Within Outlook, select Contacts and on the File menu, click Import and Export.
2. Click Import from another program or file.
3. Click Tab Separated Values (Windows) at the bottom of the selection list.
4. Browse to where you saved the file, select the file, select allow duplicates, and select next.
As long as the appropriate Import/Export features were loaded during your Office/OutLook install, the contacts will be imported into whatever category (Personal, Work, Family, etc.) you entered into the "Category" field.
