How to quickly drain your battery?

Okay, disclaimer time...

THIS IS NOT A NORMAL ACTION. DO NOT TRY THIS WITHOUT SUPERVISION OR PHONE INSURANCE!!!!

I needed to discharge the battery on my phone to test the time it takes to charge via USB vs. Rapid Travel Charger. So....

How could I quickly/safely discharge the battery?

First I tried BatteryTime 1.8.1 and that worked well, but I wanted faster draining.

Then I tried, making phone calls to my voicemail, and that worked okay.

Then I forced the phone to use Analog mode. That worked much better.

Then I got odd... I forced the phone into Analog, called my voicemail and started playing a long message, and put the phone in the Microwave (but did not turn it on) and closed the microwave door.

WOW! That really picked up the drainage, I was watching my battery level drop 5% a min!!!!. But the battery started getting warm. So, what to do...

Yes, that's right! Making Analog voicemail calls from the refridgerator with speaker phone on and the backlight on full.

So, anyone have any better ideas?

Scott

I trick from the old Palm pilot days was to turn off your Beam Recieve to save your battery. Not sure how much effect that has these days with more effecient batteries and other things drawing much more power. Any to turn off the Beam Recieve go to the PDA prefs and choose the General drop down item.
