Would someone please answer this question (a very quick one)

We have at least 2 people who want to use this computer, and now that I'm signed in, the other person can't sign in (and post, send/receive PMs, etc.). Please inform me how to sign out and allow the other person to sign in. Could I just delete all my cookies or something?

Thank you, and sorry to use bandwidth for such a question.

Clearing your cookies will do it, but a better solution is to set up a seperate windows user (assuming you are using any version of Windows, I assume you can do something similar on Mac's).

Each Windows user can then have their own cookies, favorites, and Windows preferences as well.

If you are using Mozilla or Netscape, you coulld just set up different browser users without having different windows users.

Well, I now see why you sent me a message. However, a private message doesn't let me see what you are talking about. If you respond here, then we all can see it and maybe help.

> 1. EXACTLY which OS are you running?

W XP Professional

> 2. EXACTLY what web browser are you using?

IE 6.0.blah.blah

As it turns out, I tried one of the suggestions of ditching the cache, and that didn't solve it - however, when going to write a private message to someone, there is a link right next to one's username for 'logout', so the problem is solved (indeed, when one goes to respond to a post while logged in, the same option is available).

Thanks

BS

Guys, he is asking how to have two users on this site I think (PM's, Post, Receive, etc). All you have to do is click:

HERE You can even make a short cut to this link by right clicking it and adding it to your favorites (when can then be copied to the desktop).

Also, when logging in, don't tell it to remember you (little check box).

That's how I understood the question too, I think. You could also load a different broswer that dosen't comingle it's settings with IE, like Mozilla, netscrape...
