Snapper snaffu?

My six month 'no problem' hiatus has come to an end. Following loading a trial version of Snapper on to my 7135, I've had a to do a number of resets, had the vibrator 'ring' continously (until I intervene) when I go to silent mode, and experienced a few other, apparently transient, events. My question to the fans of Snapper is whether this is something related to the trial version or some incompatability built into my particular 7135 (only Backup Buddy and BeBopper share space with my loaded in software).

SnapperMail should work fine. What firmware do you have on your 7135? (You can find that in the "Phone Info" application in the "Software" section using the upper-right drop-down gadget.)

Thanks for the reply. I like what I'm seeing in the trial version of Snapper, but obviously don't want to commit and buy a full version if it is going to result in problems. Although things do seem to be settling down, it was a little disconcerting to be experiencing some of the woes that plague some readers of this forum. My software is shown as MZ1.0.38.

Are you on Verizon service? Not sure if it matters what carrier you are on, but current firmware I have with Verizon service is MZ 1.0.44 and SZ 1.0.29. There are two parts. Take your 7135 to a store for your provider and have them upgrade the firmware. Make sure they do BOTH parts. You could do it yourself as well, provided you can find the software and ROMs. Kyocera guards them very closely.

Thanks again. I'm calling in from British Columbia, so my provider is actually Telus. I've had essentially no need to contact them since acquiring my 7135. But I sense from what you are saying that it is time to bring my phone up-to-date. My one worry is that 7135s are still unusual in western Canada - and I can only hope the Telus folks know what they are doing.
