Question 7135 Expansion Card Slot Question

I need some explaination about the expansion card slot. Basically I need the definition of the media types and what will work with the 7135. Reason be, I want to get a digital camera with the same media compatibility so I can swap cards between the phone and the camera.

Phone scoop says 7135 has "Card Type: MultiMediaCard (MMC) / Secure Digital (SD)"

Camera's I am looing at:

Canon S200: 8MB CompactFlash (Type I)

Olympus D-520 : SmartMedia card (4-128MB)

what will work?? thanks guys...

Nope...

The 7135 uses Secure Digital (SD) or Multi Media Card (MMC) media. That is not the same thing as Compact Flash (CF) or Smart Media (SM). Other flash memory types that are commonly used in digital cameras but are not compatible with the 7135 include Sony's Memory Stick (MS) modules. You will have to find a camera that uses SD or MMC.

BTW, this thread is kiknda off-topic. You should post this in the off-topic forum or try www.smartphonesource.com ,a dedicated discussion board for the 7135. I believe there is also a thread there concerning the 7135 and digital cameras.

SD to CF adapter

There are adapters available to convert from SD to Compact Flash. This would allow you to buy an SD card, and use it in a digital camera that uses CompactFlash.
