Well, in my never ending search for a pen inside a stylus for my phone, I looked and looked, and never found one. So, like others here, I decided to make it a project. Being the sort that likes a polished, finished look (no I am not THAT anal), I have looked for the right one to modify to make it at least appear at first glance like it was made that way, and wasn't some handmade thingy. Now, some $50.00 in R&D later (tools and all the wasted test subjects, LOL), here are some pics of the completed prototype. (I LOVE my Dremel). All in all with the tests overwith, it would take about 5-10 mins to do the mod, per stylus. Note that this is a shortie, just like the one that comes with the phone, as it never bothered me one bit. Cutting the extra notch to match the Kyo's Stylus clip was the most annoying part, but it fits flush, and it works, though it's not really necessary I guess. We don't really need the reset button, but oh well. Now I am making another for a friend, I consider that a compliment
Next up, an expanding one or a lighted one. Hmm, maybe go for all 3? Gah.

That's awesome! I've been looking all over for one that will fit but can't find one. Do you have any plans to start churning them out? If so, I'd be interested.
I'd be happy to make you one. I think the one I ended up with was $9.99 or so, (I actually ruined a 19.00 one, d'oh), but I will check when I am back home (same for the what and where, I bought and mangled 4-5 different types, haha). I don't like to sell stuff to friends, and anyone here is considered such, but I'd go broke giving them away, hehe. As long as I can break even, it's fine.

Well, I've been using a Pilot Pentopia Chameleon (spell check!) model, which is the universal model they sell for around $10 around the net. So far, it's been in use for 8 months, and it still works great and fits perfectly, after doing the 10 minutes of "surgery" with a razor blade and paperclip.
Not to suggest your work isn't worthwhile, but how is yours superior?
Here's the link to the latest post (with a photo, scroll down) of the Pentopia model used, the modifications needed, and even a photo of it fitting perfectly in the 7135.
Seriously, one doesn't need anything more than a razor blade, paperclip, and (and I forgot this) a drop of Crazy Glue if you are truly anal about such things. Oh, and it takes around 10 minutes.
I have been away from the forums for a while, so no I hadn't seen it. So you think yours is superior then? I am still curious what you use to judge what is superior or not
Anyway, since someone asked, and I got home, here it is:
Sci: basically I used a 3 in 1 stylus for the Ipaq 2200, since it has a top very similar to the one included with the Kyo. With the trusty Dremel, I cut off a little of both ends of the brass main tube, thereby preserving both top and bottom tips. I cut 3mm at the top and 1 mm at the bottom, (both ends are threaded), and 3 mm off of the refill. It actually fits snug even without the notch at the bottom. but since Kyo put the spring there, I used it It's possible that a different nib would have the notch in the right place, I will have to go shopping again, heh.
Either way, the time spent is still 5-10 mins, I just didn't need any superglue
ADDED: Yeay! I was worried it was a more expensive one, but it turns out after I checked my pile of samples, this is a 3-pack from SAKAR/I-Concepts, $9.99 USD at CompUSA Item 02347. Even if you make a dud, $3.33 each is still cheaper than most refills!

I guess you hadn't heard about these models?

I use this stylus described above. It is very smoth to write on the screen. It also has a solid feel to it. It really looks cool in my 7135! Warr is correct, all you need is the tools listed. Build time is about 5-10 minutes.

I picked up a 3 pack and got out my handy dremel tool. Fits like a glove! I ruined the first one, so I end up with two good pen-stylus.
