I have had the Kyocera 6035 for the last year. I just sold it on Ebay. I want to buy the 7135 but found that Verizon does not sell it anymore!!!!

I am palmless and phoneless...........

Does anyone know if or when Verizon will have these beautiful phones again, and why they have stopped offering them. I have heard such great things about them.

I am willing to buy one from ebay but am concerned about warranty issues. Several are listed as NEW, would they be covered by Kyocera?........Verizon?

I know that this is asking a lot of questions but I need to act soon.

Verizon has removed the phone from the shelves and the internet due to an issue with a small percentage of the batteries ... rumors have it it will be back on the shelves late Jan or early Feb ... but ya know how rumors are ...

There is lots of info in other threads about this "issue" and the rumors associated with it ..

Hope that helps ... you can still get the phone on Ebay ... or at least last time I checked

They say the phone is new and the seller has made lots of sales and seems reputable........... If it is new in the box would it have a warranty??

Well I purchased a used one on ebay.. (came with all the accessories, sd card, extra chargers, etc) and it has been great! I did add the insurance from Verizon so that if it acts up.. then it gets lost so they send a replacement for the $50 deductible. Just check out the buyers feedback and make sure they seem reputable. You should be able to get one for about $400 to $450 on ebay. ALSO MAKE SURE it is for a complete phone package! You dont want just the phone.. you need charger, sync cradle, software.. etc. Some ebayers are selling just the handset and battery.. which wouldnt do you much good.

Titanic, I have the insurance too...but someone in this forum was saying that the insurance from Verizon will NOT cover the 7135 !!!
I SPECIFICALLY asked my Verizon that when I bought the insurance, they put me on hold and came back and said it DID cover this phone...but until you actually make a claim, do you really know? I'd like to know for sure if anyone has claimed a new phone through their insurance....?

There are many reports on this board of people getting 7135 replacements through VZW insurance. Some of them were not phone originally purchased from VZW. (it is likly you would get a refurbished 7135, rather then a new one).
