Interesting thing I noticed about the 7135

I have had mine for several months and love it. I decided that I would like to take advantage of some of its features so I asked for a 256MB SD card for it for Christmas. I also received a hands free kit among other things.

Anyway,
I have not had a single problem with the phone. In 4-5 months I have only had to do a soft reset once when I accidently let the battery go to 0%. Since I have installed the SD card and have been using the hands free kit in the car the following has occured:

1) I was not receiving calls for a while. Figured out it was the ringer that was not working. Could not even hear it when I changed it via preferences. When it played the phone would simply lock up for a time then go back to acting normal sans ringer.

2) Had a couple of fatal errors that have required soft resets.

3) Tonight I flipped the phone open to make a call and the screen was lit and white but nothing on it. Closed the flip and opened and the same thing. Funny thing is the keys appeared to be working and i was able to make a call. I had to do a soft reset to get the display back.

This stinks, the price to pay to play MP3s and (or) use a hands free kit. Not sure which, if either, or both are causing the problem. I have yet to load anything on the card too.

Take Care,
Marcus

Is your hands free kit OEM? If it is not OEM, I would toss it and buy a true Kyocera Hands free Kit. The knock-offs cause more damange than good in my experience.

Similar thing happened to me using a cheapo car charger. It would work fine some of the time but then I'd get a blinking white screen and the phone would freeze, requiring a reset. That never happened with the OEM car charger.

This stuff is all kyocera. Of course the SD card is not, but the handsfree kit is.

The white screen happened to me once...

but it hasn't happened again. I use all OEM accessories and so far I haven't installed any hacks. I have a 256MB SD card which I use for MP3's.
