If you phone is actually bad, yes that is normal

I find hard resets on my phone are related to software. I believe (my opinion only of course) that many issues people have with this phone are related to software. And not just one program, but programs interacting. This would explain why Joe can use program#1 with no issues but Sally has all kinds of problems with the same program.

I think the pda/phone combo also causes some, meaning the phone causes the pda to lock/crash. I have had that happen, too.

Before you do much else, get a back up program for you sd card. I have been using Card Backup because it allows me to have several scheduled backups. But there are several programs out there and they all have different benefits.

What software have you installed? What did the screen look like this morning? Was it at the digitizer screen?

Well, I do have 3 launchers on there and the basic recommended stuff like afterburner, card backup, energy saver, x-master.

When I opened the flip, it just had the basic things the phone came with, and all the info in my address book was gone, so was everything else. The phone seemed to wipe the slate completely clean but I did not have to go through the digitizer process nor did I have to wait for a hard or soft reset. It was ready to go but clean.

Wasnt worried about backing up to a card yet as I have everything on desktop.

Oh, man. Dont say bad!! Bad is bad!!

Although I use those items, too, I don't agree that afterburner or x-master is a necessity. Well, OK I might call them that, but those are things that I would look at first if I was having problems. Overclocking can cause problems, I have had to spend some time making changes. Have to find what works on your phone so it doesn't make it crash, especially with phone functions.

That's unusual if you had a hard reset that it wouldn't start at the digitizer screen.

Well, after burner is installed but I dont think I have it activated, if that makes any differance. The digitizer "probably" did not activate because the standard "do not show next time" came up and I told it not to again the next time around. Then again, if it did a total hard reset of everything, I would think that that command would be erased also.

Yea, I have read everyone has to tweak each individual phone. It will be a month or so before I transfer service, so, I have a little time to figure out whats going on. Hmmmmm, I hope it does not take that long, lol.

And it did this by just putting it in the cradle...is this the buzzing cradle?

Well, yes and no. Its the buzzing wall jack when plugged into the cradle. Just useing the phone all "seems" fine, so, I just plugged it into the phone.

It is an original Kyocrea travel charger but that might not mean much if it is buzzing. Does still charge the battery though.
