you pays your money and takes your choice. I had 2 from one supplier that wouldn't charge at all. He took them back without question. I have another one that I can't tell any difference in performance from my Kyocera OEM battery.

sicko,
Do not buy a generic. Buy an OEM kyo 7135 battery from Dan's Cellphone Accessories. Good prices and no risk. It's just not worth damaging your big investment.
My exerience with a generic is similarly bad. It worked for 1 day. Then the phone started randomly resetting and finally would not work at all. Problem went away with a Kyocera Battery.
Oh ekaxel, let's not go there! Dan is probably the only source I would trust while there is this battery problem. But his communication is on the sparse side and it will take approx 2+ weeks to get your product (from my experience). If Kyocera actually gets these puppies in soon, they are more expensive but faster. I got my Kyocera order within 3 days.
Bottom line....you paid alot for this phone and a bad battery could cause problems. Although you may see posts about people using them with no problems, why take the chance?
(Dan, I will PM my address so you can send my free battery as payment
Dan -$34.99 free ship
Vechai (ebay) - Buy it now $25 free ship
Cellular-king $18.80 Buy It Now + $9.99 ship
Potential savings = $9.99/battery
Cost of new phone = ~$600
I think that was harleyxlc's point.
Of course if the battery that you saved $9.99 on just happens to do in your phone you could save even more money on eBay by buying the replacement for ~$450.
The reason people here endorse Dan is because many have had one or more dealings with him over a long period of time and (as far as I know) no one has had a negative experience.
These are all Kyocera OEM batteries-NO GENERIC, same battery. I was just showing a price comparison. Typical generic price is about half (delivered)
BTW RE Dan negative experience- I have big time!

BUMP
Look at the OEM Battery offerings on ebay today (Search Kyocera 7135 OEM battery). Where did all the batteries come from? As low as $17 delivered in lots of 10 - includes 10 OEM travel chargers!

Prolly all the recalled -05s that didn't explode, LOL
(could be all the -05's that were NOS (New old stock). I really am curious though..
If it is THAT good of a deal, I'd be interested in being part of a group that could all pitch in and get a pack or 10, and would gladly take 2 of the 10.

You could probably trade em back to Kyocera even if they were the -05's.

Well if it is THAT good of a deal, we should consider getting a group to all go in and get a pack of 10 or whatever they are offering. I know i'd be interested in 2 or so
