Got the phone today. Powered her up but no go cause the battery was dead? Pluged in the wall jack and inserted the phone on the cradle, had the phone on and was playing with it but the wall wart started swualing?!?!?!?

Took the battery out of the back of the phone, inserted it into the slot on the deskcharger and no more sqwualing.

What in the world??????????

I had the same problem with one I got from Asurion. It needs to be replaced.

Hmmmm, thats not very nice, lol. Whats the voltage on them suckkas? Maybe I can splice on of my transformers laying around into the fitting.

Wait!! After looking around, I see there is a "travel charger" too. I do not know if I have ALL the peices and mine looks like the travel charger. Are/is there a travel charger AND a desktop cradle charger, or is the wall wart one in the same for both?

I only got one transformer and it doubles as a "travel charger" Ie the prongs fold up. I don't what the other wall wart is. Perhaps you shouldn't use it.

Well, I ran to the wall to check it out, and, it Says "travel charger" on it.

MGuzzy, did you get your phone brand new all wrapped up? If you did, then I guess it is made to do double duty.

Yeah I got mine new in the box through Verizon. It came with one charger that doubles as a travel charger. It sez on the unit: Kyocera Rapid Travel Charge, Model No:TXTVL0C01.
If your's is still buzzing I would be leary of it until I got it replaced...
