7135 and EVDO

Does anyone know if Kyocera has any plans to release a model of the 7135 that is EVDO compatible? With Verizon starting it's nationwide rollout of the EVDO network, I just wonder if this could have something to do with the recall of the 7135. Right now there are currently know Smartphone/PDA's that support the higher speed data but obviously if someone [Kyocera ] was to release a model that did it could give them a good lead in the market.

After reading about the new roll out with Verizon - I
was thinking it would be compatiable with the current
1X Verizon has today considering is an upgrade of the 3g ?

Although - with the bandwith going from 300 - 500 and
considering the cost today, don't know if still it's worth it if
you don't travel much

EVDO will be an additon to the current Wireless Network, versus replacing it, just as 1X was in addition to QNC and Digital is in addition to Analog.

I know you meant 1x was an addition to IS-95

Actually, IS-2000 (1x) replaced IS-95, and IS-95 moved to "support old handset" mode
