No MP3 connection but Hot Sync is fine

MP3 Downloader desktop is on........MP3 Downloader on Palm is on. No problem Hotsyncing.

Problem: MP3 never makes a connection with the desktop

Any ideas why? Seems like the Palm and Desktop are connected.

I had a similar problem after I installed the mozilla conduit. Uninstalling the conduit fixed things.

So maybe if you installed a new conduit since the last time you tried to load MP3s, that would be a place to look..

A conduit is software that allows you to move data between your desktop and the 7135. For example, Chapura's PocketMirror allows you to synch up data between Outlook and the 7135.

rfreschner explained this perfectly. Mozilla's conduit lets you sync your address book with mozilla's; however, something in how the conduit was written (and I don't have any guesses -- never written a conduit yet) was gumming up the works for me.

I've heard other people say the same thing. I'm wondering, just out of idle curiosity, if you know why .. my cradle is connected via USB, so it shouldn't be the connection..

The interface between the phone and the SD card is what slows it down. I do all my large file transfers to/from my SD card with a separate USB reader/writer (SanDisk Cruzer). It's much faster.

Aha! yeah, that makes sense..

There are faster SD cards coming, though:
