I've had the Fitaly stamp for about 3 weeks and wanted to post some thoughts.
Good:
Looks great! Very bright and clear.
Sturdy. It's very thick and looks like it will last a while.
Very accurate. I find the placement of the letters to be very accurate. I get what I tap.
Package includes four stamps. At this price it should but it is still a nice touch.
Accuracy. I find my notes are more accurate than with graffiti.
Bad:
Thick. I was used to writing lightly, now I must press rather hard.
No digitizer spots. Jean has posted a jpg with the spots, but it would have been nice to have them there.
Price. I consider $30 to be a reasonable limit for MOST Palm software.
Overall I have been very happy. I find my speed (according to the included game) to be around 35 wpm. My real world speed is probably closer to 25. But even if the speed right now is close to my graffiti speed, this is much more accurate. I have lost the frustration of "backslide, rewrite" several times per sentence. The setup was straightforward and there are many items to customize. I have not even begun to use any of the extra slide features other than capitalization.
I included price as a bad thing, although really for what you get it is worth it. The only problem for those of us who like buying new toys is I cannot use it on my next smartphone.
I must admit I only tried Messagease (sp?) briefly and have been using Jot/WordComplete from the beginning.
A last positive note, we all know how important support is, especially since we have a rather unique device. Jean has been more than helpful, including a message checking that I received my item (after I posted I hadn't gotten it yet...it had only been three days!). I have also seen Jean's quick responses to those with the i500. Great job and great product!
I went from Graffiti to MessagEase to Fitaly then finally back to MessagEase a few weeks ago. I switched back because I have difficulty seeing the letters on the Fitaly stamp in low light. Something weird that I noticed was this: when I returned to MessagEase it all came back very quickly. It was as if taking a break reinforced the program in my brain. I'm clicking away at a great speed.
The good points that I see: There is the ability to transfer the program onto the screen, so you can tap, tap in the dark. The letters are all right next to each other. Small letters, caps, punctuation and numbers are very easy to get. There is also the ability to store large blocks of text.
Bad points: IMHO - ugly screen. Greens and blacks. High learning curve. Need to re-callibrate after every reset, which means daily for my little Kyocera!
In the dark, I click Fitaly off and use regular graffiti, but that doesn't happen alot. I find that graffiti comes pretty naturally and some people hate it, so luckily we have several of these options to choose from
I have used this product with my Visor. Now they have it for the 7135 and it takes your phone to new levels. Entering text is so much easier. Verizon should make this application standard with the 7135. Consistly over 32 wpm Lamont
It is used instead of graffiti. It is a sticker with a keyboard and you place it where you would normally write. The keyboard's layout is arranged with the most commonly used letters in the middle. Check it out...
You can peel if off if you change your mind. And if you are inclined to change, you get 4 of them.
Welcome to the forum. It's nice to have more women here.
Yes, we need more women, we are greatly outnumbered here
They come off without much fuss, but stay in place while using them. Also, the bottom left button allows you to toggle Fitaly on and off. You may want to do this in low light situations where you couldn't see the letters.
I like the idea of FitalyStamp, but I'm not thrilled about the actual overlay they came up with for the 7135. There is a ton of wasted space above and below the "keys" that could have either gone to making the "keys" bigger or some special programmable functions. To my eye, they just took the i500 stamp, put it on a bigger overlay and called it a day. You can see the stamps side by side at their website here.
Jig, I see the space you mean but I don't think it's wasted. If they made the "keys" bigger, they could only make then taller, since there isn't extra space on the side. The extra space above and below the top/bottom keys also allows me to slide from those keys in any direction.
I also looked at the i500 stamp. I think you are right, but that's ok as long as it meant I got mine sooner And I think they would have a problems sliding up on that top row.

The "tons of wasted space" correspond to dead zones of the Graffiti area. If you tap there, the digitizer does not react or does not give a distinct value. For example, if you tap below the botom horizontal line the digitizer returns 219 regardless of how far you tap. Similar problem above the top horizontal line.
This is actually something we did better on the Kyocera 7135 than on the Samsung SPH-i500. On the latter, we did not mark the bottom limit and you have to know about it to avoid non-responding taps.
