Need an alarm that vibrates.

I am using BigClock (which is a great program) but need a regular alarm that activates the vibrating function either in an alarm function or on the datebook. Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance.

I simply set 0 length appointments in the built in datebook. Works great as an alarm.

(I actually wrote a small applicatin that makes it a bit easier to set these alarms. It basically opens up the appointment dialog box, but it preselects the end time to whatever you set the start time, and pre-enters the word "alarm" as the appointment name. It isn't pretty, but it works, let me know if you want a copy).

If you use DateBk, perhaps you could use a template for this type of "appt".

Perhaps I'm missing something. When the alarm goes off for the datebook, it does not trigger the vibrate feature. Is there any way, or a hack, to make this happen? Thanx!

If the phone is in vibrate mode, datebook alarms will vibrate. You can't activate the vibrator if the ringer is on.

Thank you very much! Unfortunate that you can't have audible alerts and vibrate. If you hear of any fixes to alleviate this please let me know.

I discovered (thanks to other threads) that if the phone is put into "silent mode" by holding the "down" volume button while it is closed, that will cause datebook alarms to vibrate. Again, thank you all for your help.
