Browser for Banking

Does anyone use a 7135 web browser for banking?
I have been trying to log into my web banking (TD bank) with every browser I can find but none will work, ipanel, blazer, web pro and numerous "wap" browsers all fail to login in different ways.
Any ideas?

dcramer,

I'm looking to solve the same problem. I got blazer to connect to my credit union account, but not webpro, EIS, Xiino or Eudora Web.

But not even blazer can login to Bank of America or World Savings. One of the browsers indicated that B of A needs MS Internet Explorer, or, I think, Netscape, because it needs 128-bit encryption.

Some of the browsers won't even let me connect to the home pages.

I don't know if it's the anemic browsers that the Palm OS has, or security issues at the bank end.

Ask your bank and check their website. I have a pqa app for Fleet and used to have one for DCU. DCU has been promising for a year to re-release it, but seem to be having trouble.

In general, the pqa apps are much better than a browser since the screens are customized for our tiny screens.

Good luck,
Pete

WebPro worked fine with my credit union - I payed my credit card bill while at a gas station in North Carolina. I believe my CU also requires 128-bit.

Check out WebPro - I believe the info's on the thread Marc linked.

WellsFargo used to have a PQA for online banking, but eventually they pulled it due to lack of use. Was I the only one who loved using it? Other people are silly.:crazysant

Okay I have had some success. I followed pnypwr76's advice and by enabling CHAP in phone prefs I can get webpro to log into my bank's full https site.
Unfortunatley even though I can see everything and start transactions I can not complete a transaction.
When I hit the final "finish" button on any transaction the page just refreshes but does not post my transaction!
I want to try Ipanel and Xiino again but my trial period is over on both so I can't test it.
Anyone know how to reset a trial period (reloading thru hotsync doesn't work)
Thanks

Success at last!
Thank you everyone for your help with my browser problem, I have been able to get both blazer and webpro to connect to my (TD) banks wap page and login.
I can then veiw accounts and complete transactions.
There was a trick to it so if anyone needs help with a similar problem just let me know.

Same here, the Net-IT Financial company services websites for a LOT of Credit Unions, thank goodness their *other* way of getting in wirelessly (when PQAs went kapoof), was a WAP entry. It takes a LOT longer and is more convoluted than the old PQA they offered, but it still works, I guess I will live with it
