No Reaction - Soft Reset

I have had to do several soft resets in the first two weeks of owning my 7135, but most (all?) of those were "my fault".

However, this morning, I had my first weird instance. I took it out of the cradle, not while doing a sync, and nothing would respond (no backlight, no buttons). Fortunately, a soft reset fixed it and I did not lose anything. Not worried about it, but strange that it happened on day 13. Two more days to evaluate, but certainly am planning on keeping it.

I've had that happen to me twice. It was really wierd nothing would respond the screen was lit really dim but still black. the only reason I knew it was lit was becase I was in bed and all the lights were off. If it was daytime I would not have noticed. I also did a soft reset and it happened 1 more time after that about a week later. did another soft reset and it never happened again. I think it was just a fluke. 99% of my resets the first two months were caused by me. since then I have been careful with the software I install. at first I was ready to returen this piece of crap because nothing worked, even though I got this through my insurance on my old 6035 and only paid the deductible of $35 I didn't think it was worth $35. after I wised up and stopped installing everything under the sun I worked like it was supposed to. I sat around one day and just played with settings took out all the needless junk and now this thing is ROCK SOLID. no resets, no crashes ( it was happening so often at one point I got the program "crash" that would automatically reset after a crash) and no contrast issues, no more delayed white screen after I open the flip. This thing is unbelievable ! even with this thing o/c'd to 49 MHz I do not a single problem.
what my long winded explaination is trying to say is don't give up ! eventually it will work

95% of my resets were due to Avantgo. If you leave Avantgo running and close the flip, it frequently resets. When I remember to return to PALM home screen before closing the flip, the 7135 almost never resets.
