Better Reception

What are some ways to get better reception on the 7135?

p.s., using Verizon.

Ok, before I get flamed, please be kind....

Pull up the antenna! I get great reception and didn't really think about using the antenna but under the debug / service mode (dialing 111111, going into options, debug, 000000, screen, next, receive with -100 being bad and -50 being great) I tried with antenna up and down and (miracle of miracles) I did get better reception with the antenna up.

In 4 bar areas, I usually don't, but if I start having to emulate the 'can you hear me' guy to the person on the other end, I remember to pull up the antenna....

Good luck!

Don't hit the green "phone" button, just dial the 6 1's, then use the down button below ok to go into the options screen and follow the rest of the instructions.

And under the "Receive Power", is that in dB? For example, -58dB, -105dB.

I'm not sure what the numbers refer to, but lower is better. Try with the antenna down with hand over it or near it, and then try with the antenna up... In my case numbers were much improved with the antenna up.

(Hey, we've got new smilies!)
