Backupman vs CardBackup

I tossed this on another thread, but I think it may get lost there so here's a new thread

I am about to stop using BackupBuddy for two reasons:

1. I want to make more than one scheduled backup per day.
2. I want to make more than one backup set.

Both Backupman and Cardbackup seem to have the same features.

Beside a couple of bucks, what are the differences between these two programs?

Another question, sorry, not an answer:

Does either of them encrypt backup?

Didn't see that in either of these (didn't look for it either). BackupBuddy does let you do that.

To avoid the fallacy of incremental backups with BackupBuddyVFS I routinely move its Backup folder off the SD card and onto my desktop and append the current date to the folder name for tracking purposes. I do that via an external USB reader whenever loading MP3s. This forces BackupBaddyVFS to create a complete new backup afterwards and I retain a series of backups to backtrack in case of a problem – a situation which is yet to arise in my case.

JBBaclup

JBBackup compress... and works fine.
The only one option I never find in a backup for the Palm, is the comparison between dates...

Yes, the non-free version of BackupBuddy VFS does have the option of encryption.

I started using Backupman after several unhappy results with backupbuddy.

It works like a charm, timed backups and FULL restores with no lost data --read all my voice tags back

also cheaper!!

I just wanted to put in a good word for JKWare's cardbackup. It works great, restores the voice tags with no problem (at least the most recent release dose), can manage multiple timed backups, and can do a full or partial restore. Do check them out at www.jkware.com. In the past when I had a problem, they were great at responding to my questions...
