I thought it sounded interesting and gave it a try. I think I configured it properly [cdma; Verizon; etc.] but was unable to connect. If anyone is able to connect, I would like to know if there is any particular trick to the setup.

Where would I find it if I wanted to give it a try?

Can you give me a brief description of what is good about this browser?

I played with this app for a while yesterday evening. It is very fast for web browsing. But it's not recognized by SnapperMail! I don't have room for another browser that doesn't work with SM. But I do encourage people to check this out

WebToGo

I got it to work on my 7135 in the following way. WTG it's own Network settings under the WebToGo title, selecting random settings, that generally don't work. I copied over my Express Network settings under the WTG title - WTG then recognized it and it dialed out perfectly.

Just got this email from WebToGo about not being able to log on

From: WebToGo Customer Support

Subject: Re: WebToGo

Dear Mr. Locke,

unfortunately there is a bug in our latest release which does not allow the Lite Version to function with the Kyocera Smartphone. We hope to fix this very soon. In the Pro-Version, you can set up your own network settings (while the WebToGo-Lite will insist on the active connection being WebToGo) and use those, when you disable autodetect in the WebToGo Assistant. Please note that every time you press "OK" in the Assistant, WebToGo will reset the active Network Service in Prefs->Network to WebToGo, so after you do that you will have to select your own network setting in Prefs->Network again.

To try all this out we have given you a two-week trial licence for WebToGo-Pro. Normally this licence is activated automatically via HotSync (or when you surf online). If WebToGo-Pro is not activated automatically, you need to obtain your personal license code from the "buy" section of our website and please proceed manually as follows:

1. Open the WebToGo Launcher and then the Assistant

2. While in the Assistant open the menu and select "Personal Network Settings"

3. Now you will be requested to enter the code. Cancel out of the next dialog.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards

Theo Elsner and your WebToGo Team

Interesting. I was using the lite (trial) version last night, and it worked just fine... although it didn't at first, and I had to mess with it for a little while before it would connect.

Anybody have any opinions yet on the web browser component of WebToGo so far?

I know this is a year later but

I am interested in this software. Like all the others I was not able to get the lite version to work with Verizon and The 7135.

Before plucking down $33 I want to know if anyone is using the pro version with the 7135 and has any comments. Also has anyone else been able to use this outside the US on another CDMA carrier like Telus or Bell Mobility in Canada.

Thanks for any information.
